Firefighter Mayday and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Procedures

When the Mayday is called a RIT Team is activated. The team is comprised of a group of specially trained firefighters with the purpose of quickly rescuing other firefighters in need of help. This 12-hr class will teach students the following:

• Mayday calling parameters
• RIT team set up and equipment needs
• Interior and Exterior Firefighter Rescue Techniques

Required Gear: Full Turn-out gear is required for the class.
