Please check in at the Cody Fire Hall before heading to the first day of class. Transportation (personal vehicles or bus TBD).
Objectives:
- Hose Loads and Finishes
- Deployment for 1 and 2 person scenarios
- Hose management from the rig to the front door
- Nozzle Firefighter Tactics and Confidence Building
- Operating 1 3/4” handlines with 1 firefighter
- Operating 2 ½” handlines with 1 firefighter
Description
Hands-on-training with multiple reps. Students will build necessary skills to stretch and advance hose lines. We will start with basic Engine Company knowledge and build upon our skills. Students will be taught how to best stretch and manage hose between the apparatus and the front door. We will teach fundamental skills of hose line operation and how to advance charged hose around corners and obstacles. Students will become better with their nozzle skills and learn practical ways to control a hose line.
