This 12-hour advanced course is geared towards the student with knowledge of ropes and rescue systems. There will be 4hrs of classroom. The remaining 8hrs will be practical application and will take place on Cedar Mt just west of Cody. The instructors for this class have 35 years of surface mine rescue experience, 23 + 26 years experience in volunteer fire service, technical climbing and search & rescue.

Required Gear: Boots, helmet ,gloves, safety glasses, personal harness, outdoor clothing, structural firefighter gear.
Class Location: Cody HS Room 115 (Saturday AM) and Cody HS Mall (Saturday PM and Sunday PM)

Cancellation Policy Cody Fire School will refund cancellations received prior to 14 days from the start of the event. Later than that, we cannot make up for the costs incurred to hold a spot for students, and thus we can’t offer refunds after this time. Cancellations should be sent to the Cody Fire School email ‘codyfireschool@gmail.com’. Since we are 100% volunteer, we don’t have staff on site to take phone calls, and thus cancellations by phone will not be honored.
